Translational Research on Microbial Pathogens

Tips Tree ITOL Pseudomonas aeruginosa Tree of All Lungs

The Translational Research on Microbial Populations Group advances the understanding of chronic and acute human illnesses by examining the relationships between polymicrobial communities and diseases. The multidisciplinary group includes microbial ecologists, bacterial physiologists and physician scientists, dedicated to applying recently developed culture-independent tools to examine the role of the human microbiome in defining states of health and disease.

The group's experimental endeavors help translate basic science tools and discoveries into the realm of clinical care.
